About Course

This specialized one-day training is designed for those interested in the topic as well as yoga teachers who wish to deepen their understanding of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and learn how to skillfully support students navigating early cognitive changes. Grounded in the yogic model of the five koshas—body, breath, mind, wisdom, and bliss—this course explores how MCI can affect each layer of being, and how yoga can provide meaningful support through accessible, evidence-informed practices.

Participants will gain knowledge of the cognitive and emotional challenges associated with MCI and learn how to apply yoga tools, including asana (poses), pranayama breathing techniques, mudra (hand gestures), meditation, and Ayurvedic principles to foster mental clarity, emotional resilience, and a greater sense of ease.

Through a blend of theory, experiential learning, and sample class planning, teachers will leave with practical tools and confidence to adapt yoga for students experiencing cognitive changes, while maintaining safety, dignity, and empowerment in their classes.
