Addiction in its many forms is a huge societal issue. Learn how to use yoga and mind-body tools to assist yourself and others in achieving a healthier lifestyle. This program is designed to enable you to discover and recognize patterns of being stuck-physically, mentally, and on spiritual levels. Explore tools for yourself, your clients and those struggling with addiction.
This program enables you to implement plans for overcoming unhealthy unhelpful habits. Take a deeper look into the underlying issues that lead to the need for recovery, create a future-focused plan based on the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda. In this specialty track, you can learn how to awaken the inner physician as ancient teachings meet modern coaching for ongoing support.
Mind Body Recovery Coaching Training, you'll learn:
How to use the eight limbs of yoga to help students carve new, healthier samskaras to encourage healthier habits and behaviors
How to offer yoga classes that encourage students to build willpower, create nonjudgmental self‐awareness, and cultivate sankalpa (a commitment to support their highest truth
How to use Transformational language to encourage students to move from addiction to recovery
An overview of modern self-healing techniques such as neurobiology and psychoneuroimmunology
How too much or too little sensory input damages the wiring system of a child’s nervous system and brain development and can cause myriad childhood and teenage problems, including ADD, learning and sensory integration disorders, and mental health issues, such as bipolar disorder and addictions
How to create a trauma-sensitive yoga program that is safe and effective for a variety of age groups—from newborns and toddlers to preteens and adolescents
Current theories and strategies to help children diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, including yoga postures, breathing techniques and other nonmedicinal approaches
