Description
YogaFit’s Mommy and Baby Yoga is a one-day teacher training that will explore safe and effective yoga practices for both Mom and Baby as they get to know each other and build emotional bonds throughout the first two years of Baby’s life. YogaFit’s Mommy and Baby Yoga will explore postpartum exercises, yoga postures including Baby, and techniques for stress management, relaxation, meditation, and breathing. We will also explore infant massage techniques, safe manipulation of infant bodies, and yoga poses for babies as they learn to hold up their heads, sit, crawl, stand, and walk. Along with these physical techniques for Baby, we will learn songs, games, and stories to incorporate into our classes.
The goal of YogaFit’s Mommy and Baby Yoga is to provide foundational knowledge to help instructors gain an understanding of postpartum issues, and to help create a program that can easily be taught by yoga instructors, with confidence. This is a great training for pre- and postnatal yoga teachers, postnatal doulas, and nurse practitioners
